Pursuant to the existing by-laws, DepEd Order No. 24, s. 2008, known as the Institutionalization of the Brigada Eskwela Program or the National Maintenance Week (NSMW), and in reference to DO 021, s. 2023, Brigada Eskwela Implementing Guidelines, Masinloc Central Elementary School held a one-week activity on school readiness, maintenance, and preparation prior to the opening of classes in the school year as outlined in DepEd Memorandum No. 033, s. 2024, entitled: Conduct of the Brigada Eskwela for School Year 2024-2025. The National Schools Maintenance Week, also known as the “Brigada Eskwela,” was an annual activity led by DepEd personnel where everyone in the school community, including the private sector, worked together to prepare schools for the opening of classes, which was set to commence on July 29, 2024.

The MCES Oplan Linis Paaralan commenced on July 22, 2024, with an energetic kick-off motorcade. Prior to the event, action plans, letters of interest, and invitations to various stakeholders were meticulously prepared and distributed. The focus of the week-long initiative was on comprehensive clean-up and readiness activities both within and around the school premises, including facilities and grounds. This effort embodied the core values of the Brigada Eskwela program—volunteerism and bayanihan—demonstrating a spirit of collaborative effort to ensure the school remained a nurturing and effective learning environment.

Partner stakeholders actively participated in the week-long activity, demonstrating remarkable volunteerism and unity with the shared goal of creating a supportive, peaceful, and welcoming environment for our learners as they prepared for the upcoming school year.

On July 27, 2024, a closing program was held to express our heartfelt appreciation and honor the dedication of the volunteers. Rather than signaling the end of the collaboration between the school and its partners, this closing program marked the beginning of a new chapter in our collective effort, setting the stage for continued unity and renewed commitment to addressing the evolving needs of our students.
