San Antonio, Zambales – The Department of Education (DepEd) San Antonio successfully conducted the Classroom Observable Indicators(COI) and Non-Classroom Observable Indicators (NCOI) from July 3 to 9, 2025, as part of the ranking process for applicants aspiring for higher teaching positions.

The activity was held at the District Office and San Antonio Central Elementary School and was participated in by qualified teaching personnel who have applied for promotion. The COI and NCOI are essential components in the merit-based selection and promotion process, ensuring that applicants are thoroughly evaluated not only through documents but also by their competencies, leadership potential, and professional behavior.

Members of the COI, composed of school heads and supervisors, diligently assessed each applicant through structured interviews, while the NCOI provided opportunities to evaluate the candidates in non-classroom settings such as planning sessions, discussions, or leadership activities, evaluating their readiness to assume greater roles and responsibilities.

The conduct of these evaluations reflects DepEd’s commitment to uphold transparency, meritocracy, and fairness in the promotion system. The results of the ranking will contribute to the final list of qualified candidates for higher teaching positions within the district.

DepEd San Antonio extends its appreciation to all panel members, support staff, and participating applicants for their professionalism and cooperation throughout the process.
